Kansas City Pricing

How much does junk removal cost in Kansas City?

One sofa is $126. A queen mattress is $103. A garage that’s quietly filled up for years is usually a half truck, $431. Every number below is what you actually pay in the Kansas City area — flat, quoted from a photo before anyone drives out, with carry-out, loading and disposal already inside it.

The minimum order is $75, and the quote you get already includes everything — labor, loading, disposal and tax.

The two ways a job gets priced

Name the things and you get item pricing — a fixed price per piece. If you can’t, you get truck-load pricing: you’re paying for the space it takes up.

How fullPriceRoughly
1/4 truck$241a small bedroom — bed, dresser, a few boxes
3/8 truck$338a single-car garage’s back wall
1/2 truck$431the most common cleanout size we run
5/8 truck$513a two-car garage, or a small apartment
3/4 truck$587a garage plus a patio
7/8 truck$661a full two-bedroom clear-out
Full truck$732a whole-house load

What actually moves the number here

Less than people expect. Stairs don’t change your price, and neither does same-day. What moves it is weight, volume, and where the load has to go.

Two states, one price

We work both sides of the state line. Transfer-station rates differ — Olathe quotes from about $88/ton for non-residents — and the Missouri-side gates differ again, but your price doesn’t change with which side you’re on.

Basements are standard here

The housing stock means most jobs start below grade. Carry-out from a basement is included, not a surcharge.

Dense material

Concrete, tile, dirt and roofing price by weight rather than volume — a photo tells us which kind of load we’re quoting.

City bulky pickup, and where the line falls

There is a municipal bulky programme, and for a scheduled curbside item it’s the cheap option. Use it when it fits.

It won’t empty a basement, it won’t work for a vacant unit between tenants, and it runs on its calendar rather than your closing date. Those are the jobs that come to us.

Kansas City pricing FAQs

Does the price change between Missouri and Kansas?

No. Kansas City MO, Overland Park, Olathe and Lenexa all use the same flat list, even though our disposal cost differs by side.

Do you empty basements?

Yes, and the stairs are included — it’s the most common job shape here.

How fast can you come?

Same-day is normal if you book early, at the same price as scheduling ahead.

What won’t you take?

Paint, chemicals, pressurized propane, asbestos and medical waste have separate routes.

Is tax added to the quote?

No. Neither the Missouri nor the Kansas side gets a tax line on a junk removal bill from us; the photo quote is the charge, $75 minimum.

Do I need to be home?

Only if the crew has to come inside. A driveway in Brookside, a garage in Overland Park with the code, a curb pile in Westport — leave it and we’ll text photos.

How much does junk removal cost in Kansas City?

Each piece has a fixed catalog price you see from a photo: a sofa is $126, a queen mattress $103, a refrigerator $164. Larger jobs are priced by truck-fill, from $241 to $732. The minimum is $75.

Do you work in both Kansas and Missouri?

Yes. The service area covers Kansas City, Missouri and its suburbs, plus Kansas City, Kansas, Johnson County and the Leavenworth area, with one price list for all of it.

Is there sales tax on junk removal in Missouri or Kansas?

No. Missouri’s sales tax doesn’t reach junk removal, and the Kansas Department of Revenue lists trash hauling among services that are not taxable, so your quote has no tax line on either side.

Why pay when Kansas City, Missouri picks up bulky items for free?

If you’re in a house or a building of six units or fewer, have 15 items or less, and can get everything to the curb yourself, you should use it. We’re for everything outside that: basements, big buildings, heavy loads and same-week deadlines.

Will you carry things up from the basement?

Yes, at no extra charge. Most older Kansas City homes have one, and bringing items up those stairs is a normal part of the job.

Do you take refrigerators in Kansas City, Kansas?

Yes. Dumpster Days turn away anything that contains refrigerant, so fridge and freezer pickups are one of our most common Kansas-side jobs. A standard refrigerator is $164.
